The haunted house

LI: To plan and write narratives quickly.

I learnt that i need to add speech marks to show that I have some one speaking in the story to tell the reader that I there is some one taking. I also learnt that I need to use more punctuation in my sentences and do more complex and compound sentences. I did this by using a doc and I used a template to do my plan then made a doc to write my story into the doc.

Maths measurement

To solve Addition question’s using tidy numbers and place value

I learnt how to use a protractor and what a protractor is. I also learnt that a half is 180 long. I learnt that a third is 120 long. I did this with a buddy. I learnt how to measure in length and height. I did this by using a google slide and with a buddy helping me with then measurement.

Matariki

L.I. - To develop an understanding of the different elements of Matariki I learnt that matariki is a Maori celebration about the 7 stars that are in the sky in late June. I also learnt that the stars are ladys that got sent to the god of the stars to be thrown away. I learnt by doing it on a doc and copy and paste the questions and answering them.

Digital Footprints

L.I to find footprints to see where people have gone to. I learnt that if you go on some thing bad then someone can follow the footprints to see what yo have done bad. I learnt by watching what the teacher is talking and doing.

Key words and key phrases

LI: identify keywords and key phrases

I learnt that if you want to know what is something then you need to think of a keyword so you can find the answer as fast as a car. I also learnt if you are doing a summary then you just find the 5 w’s and the h. I used a summary doc to use so I could figure out answers and the keywords.

Addition Strategy 367+288

To solve Addition question’s using tidy numbers and place value

I learnt that using tidy numbers is a easier way to solve number problems. For example if i had 343 + 233 i would use the tidy number it can make things easier for you to answer the question faster before  go to eat for a break. I also learnt the strategy is a place value house and a number line but looked in a different way to be seen and to be used. I used a doc that I used to do my tidy number to solve problems.

Events work

LI: To write a narrative sequence of events.

I learnt that the events have how the person saved the person that was in danger and what the person that saved the person in danger is going to do to save the person. The baby bear fell down on the jagged ice and fell unconscious. I used a template and looked at a picture and see what was going to happen in the picture and turn it into a story.

Compare and contrast

To define a piece of technology  and to define a  technology system.

I learn what is the difference between a Chromebook and a clock and what is the same between  a Chromebook and a clock. I learnt that the document that I used was a compare and contrast doc. I put the piece of technology on the left and put the technology system on the right side. I learnt by using google docs and use a compare and contrast document and add one word from technology system and piece of technology then we write down what is the same and what is difference between a Chromebook and a clock.

Technology

To define a piece of technology and to define a technology system.

I learnt that technological system has a input and output for example. If I have a bread and I put it in the toaster then that is the input and when it comes out it is a toast and it’s the output.We got some ideas from a video called “What is technology?”

Maths work

LI- To investigate unit of volume and capacity
I learnt that you can use a number line or an place value house to figure out the answer to a maths question that you do not know. If you do not know how to use it then I’ll give you an example. If you have an answer like 393+424 you put the biggest number and put it at the start then break up the number 393 up to 300 90 3 then half all the numbers so then they're all like 300 half it to 100 200. So then it's like 100 +200 = 300. I learnt by using the number line and the place value house to answer my work and to finish my work.

The baby bear

LI: To write a narrative solution.
I learnt that a solution has a how did the person save the person that's in danger and it tells the nice ending when there is no harm. I also learnt that when baby bear was saved he was happy. I also learnt that a solution is who saves who. I learnt by using a template and looking at a photo and write of what I think is going to happen in the solution or problem.

Volcano facts

LI: to compare information across texts.

LI: to identify key ideas.

I learnt that volcanoes are found near big slabs that are plates. I learnt that volcano is similar to a mountain with a downward pool with hot magma rocks.When pressure is in volcano it will burst up like a hot glowing fountain. When there is no pressure in a volcano it will just flow out of the volcano like water flowing out a bottle when it's full.
I learnt by looking in the book and also thinking of what to say in my own words
