Kiwi Sport

In Kiwi sport it was the last week for badminton. We all got to pick a gameit was: Stuck in the mud, infinite tag, and octopus. Most people wanted octopus. we played it as the warm up game then we play 1 on 1 rally's. I had beaten all of the 9 people that I was playing with. Then we did 2 on 2 rally. I was with Hosea again. We all had fun as the time was passing. I liked playing badminton.

It's Novel Time

LI: to make connections, summarise, evaluate, and synthesise facts when reading texts over several days. I learnt that books can be the best. I also learnt that if you read more the more you will know. I learnt that in portable ghosts there are ghosts that didn't want to be in the computer.

Vlog

LI: To make generalisations about the impact of a group in our community. I have learnt that things in life can be taken away forever and never been seen again. I have learnt that things can be once something has gone like the community can lose food services and they would stave or hunt down some food to eat.

Today I made changes. I changed my sentences to make it make sense and I changed it because it was telling how to make the samurai helmet. I had to edit it so it is all right. I changed the reveal, events, and ending.

Prototech

L.I develop instant recall of addition facts. In prototec we did different stages. There were 2-3 stage, stage 4, stage 5, stage 6, up to 8. I did stage 2-3, 4, and 5. The year 4's did the same one as me. then the year 5's did stage 4, 5, and 6. Then the year 6's did stage 5, 6, and 7. I got certificates for the finished stages. I got:

Jetski Addion

In Jet ski addition you get questions and you have to get them all right to get a boost. It can help if needed.

Nim

In Nim you play and you have to press the last stick to win or if the computer press's the last stick then you lose, as you can see there are ten levels.

Kiwi Sport

In kiwi sport we play stuck in the mud for the warm up game. When we finished stuck in the mud we did the next skill. It was the backhand lift. This is the same as the forehand lift. When we were doing the backhand lift we got into partner. My partner was Hosea because we are best friends. We did the backhand lift one at a time. Then we did a rally, it was one against one. Then we did it in partner. Me and Hosea were in second and other came first and last. We talked about what we had learnt and then it was the next groups turn.

Origami samurai Helmet


LI: to write a recount about making origami cranes. I learnt that I can make new things and get new skills. Today for writing we were doing origami we were making Samurai hats and we had to take photos as we are doing the steps for the helmet.

It's Novel Time

LI: to make connections, summarize, evaluate, and synthesise facts when reading texts over several days. In reading we had to get into different buddy's. Then we did the book portable ghosts. We had to write things that we thought that was in the book then we read the book and write what we wrote in the synthesise.

Community Roles


LI To classify personal relationships. I learnt that different jobs have different things in the job like police some people find lost people and some arrested people.  l did this was by knowing what to do and how l did it is l knew about all these topics and how they work when they are called or need help.

Kiwi Can

In Kiwi Can we played a similar game to shark attack. It is when players get into two groups of four or more. Then there are three or more hula hoops that are on the ground and people from one team have a ball and try to tag the other team but lucky the team that is not tagging can stand in the hula hoop (which is the safe place) can stay in the hula hoop only for five seconds. I was in the bibs team. My team was the team that started as tagger then the next round we got to run around. I felt awesome and hype. I had survived all rounds but not one. The next game we had to stay in our team's but one of us had to guard the tower we had built, because the other team had built a tower as well and one person had to guard their tower. They had the ball and they had to throw the ball to knock down our tower. Then we played but we lose.

Questions & Answers

L.I develop instant recall of addition facts. Hello Lukah and Hosea,
I have answered your questions. For question 1 I counted in 3’s. For question 2 I added 80 to 20 to make 100 then I added 9 to 1 to make 10 now I add them together it is 110. For question 3 I imagined slicing it into triangles. For question 4 I took the 31 and took away 31 from 111 so it’s 80 then I then I took the 3 left from the 34 to take away 3 from 80.
In maths we made questions for other to try and figure out. I did Hosea's questions. The questions made sense and I also got all the answer right. I learnt that you can use different strategies for question like addition, multiplication and more.The are four questions one was addition, multiplication, subtraction, and fraction/divisions.

Sentences


In writing we played a game called The Bean Game (that's what I call it). We played this near the Junior playground on concrete. We played the game so we had something to write about. We had to do this in a group of three to four. We did our own recount that had to have three sentences. I did this by listening.

Maths Questions

L.I develop instant recall of addition facts. In maths Me (Andrew) and my buddy Akuhata. We had to make a google draw and make question for the maths groups to answer. We had to have answer like multiplication, addition, fraction, and subtraction. How we did it was listening to the instruction.

Its Novel Time

LI: to make connections, summarise, evaluate, and synthesise facts when reading texts over several days.. When we read we use the timer and do 20 minutes. Today for reading we had to read novel. when we finished reading we do a novel time in this novel time there is Synthesise,Vocabulary,Main ideas,Summarise,Evaluate.Today for reading i was doing my novel.I was partners with Hosea.We choose the giraffe and pelly and me.We started with the video then the synthesis.

Kiwi Sport

In Kiwi Sport we did badminton. In badminton we learnt a new skill. is was called the forehand grip serve. In badminton we had to pick a buddy and it was Hosea. When we got a buddy we had to get one shuttle and two rackets then you have to practice the forehand grip serve one at a time. then you play a little rally with your buddy. soon you and your buddy will play a rally with another two people. after we talked about what we did learn.

Kiwi Can

In Kiwi Can we played a game that is called stinky socks it is about there is about five hula hoops that are placed in the class and the kiwi can leader says ten then you have to put ten feet in to a hula hoop. you can put both of your feet into a hula hoop. if you are still standing  trying to find a hula hoop. then we talked about the topic which is respect. Soon we played sock tag which you have to tag the other team with a bean bag small but you can not run with the bean bag. After we did GKQ. Last we left to class to eat.

Past Tense


LI: to use past tense to show something has happened.
Session 1. I learnt that past tense is about what you have did that is true like I was at home. I also learnt that what did you do today like I shook my head. In the sentences there are past tense words like, were, was, finished, played, and more and there are the negative past tense like wasn't and weren't. I also learnt new words like ordered offered served and more. How I did this was by listening to the video to learn more and the teacher.

Fire Station Visit

Today we went to the Mt Wellington Fire Station. First we all got our sun hat and walked to the office. Then the teacher walked us all the way to the fire station. While we were walking to the fire station we had to walk on the foot path and stay in two straight lines in boys line and girls to. Then once a person or more walked by the we had to more to make space.
Next we arrived to the fire station. Once we got there we all followed the teacher to seat in the garage Where they keep the fire truck. Then the Norm one of the fire officers and Paul and Stu. They talked to us about what we going to do and some things about the fire station. Soon we all got to stand and walk into the backyard of the fire station. It was where they did their training. We walked to set some people sat on the top and some sat at the bottom. Then Norm told us some things about the fire truck like the tools they use to cut though the cars to split them apart.
Last four people form our class were to go up and spray the hose and they are, Me-Andrew, Jonathan, Fui, and Sandra. First was me because the other three wanted to go last. So I sprayed the hose and it was fun because you could put it up and down and change how big the spray was going to be. Then Norm went on the fire truck and sprayed the big hose. it was so big little bits of the water wet us but thankfully we dried fast. Then the teacher got to spray the second biggest hose. After we said good bye and left back to school.

Trades

Trades are services that help keep communities functioning by creating, repairing and moving things. Examples are electricians and delivery drivers. I have learnt that delivery drivers hold different licenses. One is for the van that they use to delivery and another one for a forklift to lift the delivery's in the van.

Kiwi Can

in kiwi can we played a game where you have to roll up into a egg and roll to touch the other the person so you can turn into a kiwi which to will have to crouch and move if you touch another person then you turn into a moa which is a chicken. then we played flip it. it is when you have to flip the cone to make it upside down or make it stand properly. after we did GKQ it means General Knowledge Questions. we sat in a circle and one by one every one answered the questions. then soon our time was up and we left back to class.

Police Visit

Today our school got to see the police helicopter. When we saw the helicopter we knew it was going to land in our school. It landed in the big wide space where no one was. The whole school had formed two lines.One near the court sitting down and a line near the office. Then the helicopter landed. After we all got to walk around it to get a closer look and but not touch. Soon they told us that the helicopter can go back but not planes. That helicopters can not go upside down but planes can for a little. After They left in the helicopter and police cars came with k9's in the cages but they only took one out. One of the cops named Grant did some cool fun things with the dog. then they told us some things about the dog then we all went back to class.

KIWI SPORT

In Kiwi Sport we did badminton. In badminton we did back hand grip and front hand grip. In badminton we needed a shuttle and a racket. We learnt new moves like the behind the back, under legs, and the proper severe. We played a little rally at the end but first we grabbed a shuttle each and a racket. then Kevin our kiwi sport leader talked to us then after we did a warm up game which was suck in the mud. Soon we walked to Kevin and we talk a little then he told us to pick a partner and my partner was Hosea. Then we use one shuttle to practice our back hand grip and front hand grip.

RaZ kIdS

I learnt how to skim and scan when i read and i also learnt form the story that it is good to share.I learnt it by read this book. Today I learnt that about Spanish. I red a Spanish book and I learnt things. I red it and learnt that red is rojo.

TABLES CONGA

This week for my can do slot I did tables conga, for this game you have to collect the numbers of the times table that you choose. You also have to avoid the x's that follow a programmed pattern to try and catch you.Today I did some table conga and That is a math game that you can do to learn Multiplication and when you complete it then you get an award that is a trophy and then you can practice the rest of your multiplications.The key was to get all of the numbers that comes after 2 like 2 4 6 8 10.Like counting in 2's.BYE

Kiwisport

In kiwi sport we had a new leader his name is Kevin and he is teaching us about badminton. Badminton is a game that includes skill and a racket. The first task was to bounce the shuttle on the racket. then when we could do it we move on to the next task which was to bounce it on the other side the rotat it on one side then the other. Then we did more skills and tricks. 

Recount

LI: to write an “events” section for a recount. I learnt that the events tell you who did it where it happened and also what happen like what did you do. The structure of a recount is easy to remember because it is TREE t is for title, r is for reveal, e is for events, and e is for ending. How I did this was by learning what the teacher said and understand.


Dancing through the decades
Panmure Bridge performed lots of dances and was amazing. Room 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, LS1, & LS2 had danced. Some of the classes were in junior kapa haka and in senior kapa haka. We dance in the hall on the stage. One by one we all walked on to the stage and dance and off the stage. We had to dance on Wednesday and Thursday on the last week of term 3.


First Room 4 did their dance. After Room 4 is finished their dance senior kapa haka comes on the stage and did their dance. Then it’s LS2’s dance. Then Room 2 did their dance. Soon they're finished so then Room 1 goes. Soon their dance is finished and it’s junior kapa haka. When junior kapa haka finished it is Room 3. Then LS1 us. Between the dances, there is Lyndon live. Lyndon live says, “Who’s bad? Who’s really bad? Who’s really really bad? Beat your heart out Michael Jackson!” It was kinda hard to sit and stay watching other dances.
Then when all the dances are finished there is Pacifica that dance at the end.  
Next, the dances were done and everyone clapped and cheered and left, but the PBS kids went to class to change out of their clothes.
Last the mums, dads, grandpas, grandmas, and caregivers cheer and shout, “OOOHHH!”


The day was fun and amazing but kinda hard but we were quite a bit. All kids and mums, dads, grandpas, grandmas, and caregivers.

Video/Graph



LI. To investigate a range of addition and subtraction strategies. I learnt that at first you don't know much about maths but I learnt that some of the numbers did not roll but I also learnt that there is a graph that makes some stuff easy its the stem and leaf graph. How I did this was by learning and understanding what the graphs are about.

LI To investigate a range of addition and subtraction strategies. I learnt that 1 strategy can fix to maths problems and other problems. In maths I had to make a instruction video about 1 strategy for 2 digit + 2 digit and 3 digit - 2 digit. How I did this was understanding the teacher.
