How to add fractions with different denominators


LI-Add and subtract fraction with like and unlike denominators
For Maths we were all learning and watching how to add fractions with different denominator. We also learnt how to make the denominator the same as the other denominator. We all also learnt that you can only multiply the denominator not add them or subtract them or divide them.

Myths, Legend and Fairy tales


L.I To learn on prior knowledge sections.
For Reading we all learnt what Myths, Legends and Fairy tales are. Myths are events that have happened in the old days that people have told that have different stories about them. We got this information from articles. Legends are people that no one knows if they are real or not and that have different stories about themselves about their skill. Information from articles. Fairy tales are stories that teach kids and adults a lesson.

LI-Find fractions of whole number amounts using multiplication and division.
For math we had to learn how to multiply fractions. We had to make an animation of how to multiply fractions using the fractions that we picked. We also had to learn how the multiplying fractions system works.

CyberSmart


L.I. To find out what media is
For cyber smart we we learning about what is media. We have done a little bit of media last term, but not to much. This week for cyber smart we did what in media then we had to do a slide show on what is media and we had to out in the box what we know about media and the next slide we did was video we watched then in the box we had to put in our information that was in the video.

Film Festival

LI:To write a quick Narrative for the Maniakalani film feastival
We had to write a story this isn't the finished version it's just a brain storm for our writing. We are writing this because we are having a film festival about the Olympics. We are learning how to write a funny parody.

Kiwi Sport

L.I. To learn how to swim.
For kiwi sport we had swimming. This was a exciting thing to do because we all haven't did this before in school. Everyone like to swim which made them to do what they wanted a little. When we got to the pools a lady came and got us to take to the pool but first we all had to go into some rules. The first rule was that when a siren goes off then we had to follow the instructors.                                                                                                                                                                                              The next thing after the rules were if anyone could float and if you couldn't then you go the the low group. We all got into groups that the lady told us to go to. There were three groups. When we finally got into the pool we all got tested to see if we could do the forward swim. We all then got into some swimming moves. We first did the safe entry, then the freestyle, kicking facing up, kicking facing down, underwater swimming, dolphin dive and last we did pencil dive. When the lesson was finished we were kind of sad, but we still went back to school.

Kiwi Can



In kiwi can we were learning about our new theme which is resilience and the new topic which is goal setting. First we talked about goal setting, and goal setting is about when you want something and you want to get which is goal setting. Setting something that you want is a goal. We next got into the energizer the energizer was Order up which is the photo at the top. For the talk in the middle of energizer and activity we talked about what is resilience and what it means. Some people said that it might mean re doing something if you got it wrong but it means bouncing back and never giving up. Then we got into our activity which was Up & Down.

Visualizing and Questioning


LI: to visualize and question scenes in a book.
For reading we were learning about how to visualize and question. We are also learning about ways that we can make templates using different google apps. We had to read three or more books and write down questions that we have about a scene and then write where the scene that you read and questioned on the template.

Duffy theater

On Monday the first day of school we had a Duffy show. This took place in the hall after lunch time. This Duffy show was about bullying. The Duffy show was about people bullying. Duffy theater people told a story of a person named Duffy goes to his mate and plays a game of football and shows off their skills. Duffy gets a goal and celebrates making his the best. He said that they are having football training because he is in the school football team. They are going against the Amazons. Duffy and his friend went to the the cloakroom and saw a girl. She wanted to play but Duffy's friend didn't want he to play. After when it was lunch time Duffy heard someone crying and it was the girl that wanted to play. She said that this person was stealing her food everyday. Duffy finds out that the cloakroom bully was his friend.

Quiz Day


LI: To learn new things form each other.
Today was quiz day.For the whole term we have been learing about the human systems and used our skills to do task to get credits.We all used these credits to our power so we can win,We all learn things we may have not known or know how to explane it.We did not just learn about the human system we also learn about other system that are not like humans such as cats or fish.For the human system we learned about nutrtion,sensitivity and respiration.

Commenting


 I have said that he should be adding some writing to the blog to show people that he knew how he did it. I learnt how to make a smart comment and not to cyber bully. How learnt by using help. I also learnt that when commenting be nice about what you are going to say.

Quiz/Not so normal


L.I: Is to infer information from a text. This week for reading we had to infer information in a text. Inferring is when the answer is not in the text but you can use the clues in the text that the author put in, this is called author and me. Inferring can be done on your own which is called on my own. We used these to infer.

ASB Get wise

LI: to follow the steps to C.A.S.H Goals.

Today we had a session with Jayden who was from the ASB company and he taught us the cash goals and he wrote the word cash goals and he said that each letter is one of the steps to cash goals first he.

He told us that c for cash goals means Clear, Action, Save and How long. Clear is like for example what brand of shoes are going to get and what colors especially the price. The price is what you should save and what you should spend.

At the end he got three people to hold up folders to show what they have achieved in ten years which was a pretend.


Dialogue


LI: to write a narrative with dialogue.
For Writing we all had to do a dialogue about a girl and a dog. We also learnt what was a dialogue and what was a one person dialogue. We learnt that dialogue is two people over talking the photo as I did except I wrote the things that I was going to say.

Matariki celebration

For Matariki celebration we all got sausages at the end but first we all started with a pray. We all sang the next song which is He honore. After we had the senior kapa haka. Soon we had the drummers now these people were great, because I was in it. There was junior kapa haka next which was good. After there was pacific which had great dancers in the group. For a while there was lots till it ended and everyone was hungry just to eat the sausages. When it all ended everyone ran to the sausages and got into lines.

M&Ms maths





LI Fractions Decimals and Percentages
For math we had to learn what are decimals, percentages and fractions. We are also learning about what is a fraction what the numerator is and the denominator. We also learnt that percentages are not easy and are difficult.

Matariki

L.I. to collaborate with LS2.
For Matariki LS1 and LS2 join together to form groups of four two from LS1 and two from LS2. LS2 and 1 had to collaborate to finish a DLO about Matariki. We also watched a video of the Matariki stars and the sisters. We learnt about the matariki stars which was easy. We had to write the information in our own words which was pretty easy, but I was not here to do that.
