LI: To self monitor our understanding.
LI: To identify simple sentences.

I learnt words i did not know. I learnt turnip is a vegetable that has roots and is shaped like a potato and is white.I also learnt tweed is a kind of material.

I learnt by listening and using everything i could remember from  term 1. I used my subject verb object to find the simple sentences in the story.

The Frog's race

LI: To identify the parts of a narrative.

I learnt that a narrative needs to have a title, orientation, problem, event’s, and solution. I also learnt that a orientation is who is in the story where it is what is happening when it's happening and why it’s happening. A event is the hero thinks of a plan to solve the problem.

I learnt by listening and I red the the frog race story and made a copy of a  organiser and organised the story into their parts.

Place value

LI Place value houses. How does it work.

I learnt place value is a house. It works like this you put a number under 10 and there is numbers on top of the box’s. You put a number under the numbers that are 100 10 and 1. They are there so you know where the numbers go. If you put a number bigger than 1 it will have to move to the left and it’s a bigger number.

I leant by listening and I made a drawing doc then made a place value house and did an example of how the numbers move to the left.
