LI: To identify vocabulary and language features for use in writing a poem about feelings.
Haiku is a poem that is talking about your feelings or something that has happened recently. We had to chose out of a Diamante, Cinquain, Haiku and Limerick. I had chosen a Haiku to challenge me because it is pretty hard. We will have to present the poem to the teacher for who will be the best.
I am a Year 6 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 1 and my teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilive.

Music
L.I to learn new sounds through our session.
In Music we had learnt about how to play the ukulele and we played One call away. We had to do C,F,G and A. We did the Ukulele first and then the xylophone. We played the song: One call away. We played these on Ukulele. We did the frets: C, G, A and F. We practice playing One call away for a long time because it was not sounding as nice. Some people that never got to go on the keyboards went on the keyboards for free time and the rest were learning with Miss Odie.

Basic Fact Boxes
L.I to learn basic facts.
For basic facts boxes we have to chose a way of numbers that we are going to do so for example if I want to do up to ten then I can chose one up to ten or higher or lower. We also had to time our self as fast we can do it and when we have finished we stop the timer and try to improve next time we do this.

Final Kiwi Can Term 1
L.I to recap everything we did in kiwi can.
Today in Kiwi Can we recapped all of our learning from term 1. Our big theme was Positive Relationships. Our three modules were: Friendship, Co-operation and Positive communication.
We made three group. Each group talked about the five W's and the H for one module. After we talked as a group, each group shared their ideas back ti the class.
The thing that I enjoyed this term is the games that relate to the theme which makes the learning and doing a lot easy.
The one thing that I learnt this term is that you can communicate through different ways.
The thing that I have to work on is being confident.

Statistics Presentation
LI: to learn something about the class or school using statistics.
For Maths we had learnt about statistics. All the information that we have about statistics we had to use on to the graph that we made from the survey that we conducted on LS1 people. We had to make a presentations about where is the most popular place for you to rest in LS1.
We had a rubric which is a score system for how good our presentation is. The points are: poor which is one point, acceptable which is two points and good which is three points. We can get points for content and delivery.
We had scored five out of six points.

Ki o rahi
L.I to learn how to play the proper Ki o rahi game.
For Kiwi sport we player the proper version of ki o rahi. We had to apply all the learning we did to play the full game Ki O Rahi. We had two of the teams which are Taniwha and Kioma. Kioma wears yellow tags and Taniwha wears Red tags. This tested of how we will be playing next week and so that if we get picked for the Kioma or Taniwha team then we can play the role. When we finished the score was five to one and the Taniwha team won which is the team that I was in.

Poetry
L.I - To identify purposes for poems.
Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing your feelings to people. Poetry can include sound patterns. They are rhyme and rhythm. Rhyming is repeating sounds in words. There are four kinds of rhyme: Consonance, end rhyme, alliteration, and assonance.
Consonance is sounds of consonants that are repeated.
End rhyme is sounds repeated at the end of each line.
Alliteration is sounds repeated at the beginning of each word.
Assonance is vowel sounds that are repeated in each word.
The way we learnt this was using a paper that had poems on it and highlighting the rhymes that were in the poems. Then we had to highlight what the poem was out of the four rhymes.

Cleaning Data
LI: to learn something about the class or school using statistics.
Statistics is gathering information/data to answer questions. The question that I will be trying to answer is: Where is the most popular to rest and sit in PBS? The we are going to find the answer is by using a form and getting people to do the survey. We then had to clean the data.
