Music

L.I to learn notes and chords.
For Music we had learnt about what chords to play and played notes the most because when you are in a band and there are lots of noise at the same time then you would sound like you are playing random notes and chords. You then have to play notes to make it sound more like a song. We played the songs: One call away, Lazy and we played a song hat Miss made up her self. We played these on Ukulele. We did the chords and notes: C, G, A and F. We practice playing One call away for a long time because it was not sounding as nice.

Operations


LI: to learn about exponents but also other operations.
For Math we had to learn about the operations that we did not know about which were square roots and exponents/powers. We had to make a poster on the operation that we named our group,so my one was Multiplication. We had to make examples for the other operations and make information about the operation that we were doing.

Kiwi Can

L.I to be a good listener and communicator.
For Kiwi Can we had learnt about the theme and topic and also Positive Body Language. The topic is Positive Relationships and the theme is Positive Communication. We had to then got into the energizer which was "Fruit Salad." which is when the leader has to say a fruit which is a move and if you get the move wrong then you are out.

We then got on the mat and talked about what active listening is and how it is shown. We then got into the activity which was "Hand soccer." This game was a fun game because when you get into teams and play soccer but with our hands. We then sat down and finished with GKQ.

L.I to learn about how to use Info-graphics.
For reading we had to learn about Info-graphics and how they are used. We also had to learn about how a Info-graphic works because it is not like a poster it is made so that people can look at the images to understand and to catch peoples eyes for them to learn something new or so that you can get people to see what they have to know.

Inquiry




L.I Identify actions and factors that can prevent a team from working cooperatively.
For Inquiry we had learnt about action how they can change a relationship with each other. We then had to open the Padlet that the teacher made and think about what people that we have relationships with in our life such as mum and dad. We then had to do a compare and contrast about what sports team have that learning groups don't. We then finished off with a T-Chart about what a Good team have and what a bad team has.

Ki oRahi


L.I to learn the areas of the field in Ki o rahi.
For Kiwi Sport we had Ki o rahi and we played a similar version of it which was Golden Child. We had learnt about the areas of the Ki o rahi field like the Island which is the circle in the middle which is where the Key is where you are suppose to throw the ball to the Tupu. We then learn about the next circle which is in the Moat which is where the Taniwha is. The Pou are the seven teeth that the Taniwha throw when the ice bridge raised.

We played these on chime bars and pianos.We did the chords and notes: C, G, A, F, E and more. We practice playing One call away for a long time because it was not sounding as nice.

Fire Areas






L.I to understand a local event though reading.
For Reading we had to learn about the Tasman Fire. LI: to understand a local event through reading
For this activity we made 3 DLOs (Digital Learning Subject). We firstly read sites about an event which was the Tasman Fire. Our first DLO was a slide. We first put the Main Ideas which was the 5 W's. Our Summary Frame was to write down 20 important words, and from that 20 we had to pick 6 words which were the most important. Then we use those 6 words to make a summary of the text we are reading. Next we did Evaluating which was to summarise the text, what interesting facts we found, and what are our questions.

Next we made a poster about the Fire Hazard Rating in New Zealand, and also we talked about the Tasman Fire. We also had to follow the print design rules. Then we made a map of the Fire Areas of the North ans South Island. We also put a map of the Prohibited places in New Zealand to spark a fire.

Facts about the number 20

LI: to think flexibly about numbers
For Maths we had to learn about facts that related to the number that we chose. To start the lesson we had to get into group, after we got into groups of three we had to have a brainstorm about a number, we had to see how many equations we could find that made that number. After the brain storm we had to go off and get our own number and brainstorm, but we had to put it on a google doc with some actual facts about the number

Kiwi Can/Positive Relationships/Positive Communication

L.I to be a good listener and communicator.
For Kiwi Can we had learnt about the theme and topic and also Active Listening. The topic is Positive Relationships and the theme is Positive Communication. We had to then got into the energizer which was "Remote Control." which is when the leader says out of: Pause, Stop, Play, Rewind, Fast Forward and Slow motion.

We then got on the mat and talked about what active listening is and how it is shown. We then got into the activity which was "Chopsue Salute." This game was a fun game because when you get into partners and listen to the moves that the teacher or leader says. We then sat down and finished with GKQ.

Commenting

I learnt how to make a smart comment and not to cyber bully. How learnt by using help. We had to make a blog comment about the work that someone had done on their blog post. We had learnt how to do commenting properly because the teacher had wrote the steps on the board. We had learn about how the commenting helps others.

Music (Week 1)

L.I to learn the notes and chords.
For Music we were learning how to play a song or just some lyrics. We had this lesson with Whaea Odie. She taught us where to strike on the chime bars, xylophone, keyboard, and metallophones for C, F, A, and G. We learnt to play chords which is playing two or more sounds and notes are one sound at a time. We then played the songs called One call away and Shotgun.

Writing Recount

LI: to plan and write a recount. Writing Recount
For writing we had to plan our know plan, but first we had to brainstrom in groups and we have a number which we have to write anything that is related to the number. We then had to just put down all your activity's that you did in the holidays. We had to make our writing by just picking the one thing that stands out on the plan to write. We had to talk about TREE which is the structure of a recount.

This week for maths we did graphs with the information that we had from a activity from last week. We did this activity in groups and did different activities like birthdays, pets and many more. Then we had to put it all in one slide and write what the data was about.

Safe Password Rules


L.I to create strong (Safe Password)
In Cyber smart we had to make a safe password for this year and we had to make a poster about how to make a safe and strong password. We also had to partner up to make the poster and to look for the information on a video and by using a website.

Ki o Rahi

L.I to learn the origins and basics of Ki o rahi.
In Kiwi sport we had Ki o Rahi which is a Maori game that stops people from arguments and other fighting. Taniwha which is one of the teams that are in Ki o Rahi and the other team was kiomo. We played two games to help with our skill for Ki o Rahi. We learnt how to block and pass for the skills to play Ki o Rahi. We played a game which was Taniwha and Kino and eight pass.

Kiwi Can

L.I to learn to be Positive to others. 
This was the first Kiwi Can for 2019. In Kiwi Can we had new Kiwi Can leaders, who were Miss Page and Mr Alapati. We the were learning the new theme and the new topic which are Positive Relationships and Positive Communication. We had to learn what they meant and what they can help in class and anywhere in the world. We then got into the energizer which was "Eyes Up & Down." This energizer was a game to get the brain thinking for the morning. This game tested to see who people would look at to win.

Then we talked about the the rules of Kiwi can or what could be the rules in Kiwi Can. We were also talking about the things that can help us in the future. The games that played after was Midnight tunnel, GKQ and Jockies Up. The activity was Midnight and in this game we had to get into groups of three and number each others off and from one to three. Then when the teacher yelled one or any number that you are you have to run around everyone and and the other two make a tunnel for you to run though.
