Swimming
L.I to learn how to swim.
For Swimming we had lots of fun. We did lots of things such as: Kicking practise with board, Face in water, Straight leg kicks, Swimming on back, Swimming underwater, Jellyfish, Horse race, Help balance in water. We all did these methods one at a time and we had learnt more and how to do the method more properly. My favorite method is the jellyfish. The hardest method has to be the horse race to keep us better running under the water.

Commenting
L.I to learn how to do quality blog comments better.
We had to make a blog comment about the work that someone had done on their blog post. We had learnt how to do commenting properly because the teacher had wrote the steps on the board. We had learn about how the commenting helps others.

Kiwi Can
For kiwi can we were playing games that we wanted to play but first we had to vote on the two games we wanted to play. We chose Invisible tag and Octopus. We played octopus first we had only had one tagger and then there were three. We had fun because of the taggers couldn't tag us. Soon I got tag and after there were two winners. Soon we played invisible tag and it was tiring because we used the whole field, but it was also fun. We got into two groups.

For reading we had to learn about the books that the teacher had chosen they are four in total. The book we did was Odysseus the warrior. We had to learn and read the book to understand. We had to make a DLO with audio animation or photos and video. We had made a video with the things needed.

Inquiry
LI: To learn about technologies that overcome earthworks fortifications.
For inquiry we had to learn about structures in war which is all the structure that the allies used in WW1 - 2. Today we had to answer all the questions that were about our learning. We had five questions and we did this by looking on the slide we had made.

LI: to write an exposition (persuasive text)
This week for writing we had to write a full exposition. Our topic was who was more devious, Leprechaun or Genie. Another was who was more dangerous, Kraken or Leviathan. The one I did was the Kraken one. We had to learn and search up stories about the Kraken and the Leviathan.

Time vocab
On Tuesday we had to make a DLO about time and the all types of time. We also had to learn about and search what time the teacher meant. I talked about time zones and others. I learnt new words by searching keywords up. So our task was to find the most information we can about time. I used websites to find information about time on it. There is a lot of different clocks in the world and I talked about it in my DLO.

Kiwi Sport
L.I to learn how to swim.

Arms straight, squeeze ears, Legs kick in water for power, otherwise just splashing, Jellyfish, Swim then duck dive, Feet first sculling and Swimming Method of choice. We all did these methods one at a time and we had learnt more and how to do the method more properly. My favorite method is the jellyfish.

KiwiCan
For Kiwi Can we didn't talk much but we did, we talked about all the themes and topics we have done this term. This was the last week of kiwi can and then next week one group from each class out of LS1 group A, LS1 group B, LS2 group A and LS2 group B. I think that LS1 group B (my group) is going to win because we have lots of pizza points. Speaking about pizza, if you win then you get to go with kiwi can to eat pizza.
In the energizer we played tangled. In this energizer the person that is in has to tag and link up with the person that tagged them, and only the people on the end of the link can tag not the middle people. For the activity we played invisible rugby, This game is just like rugby but when you tag the person with the invisible ball then you got the ball. Tip: Always support your team mate when they have the ball.
Reading notes
L.I to finish this reading notes before, during and after reading.
For Reading we had to read a book about three types of legend people: Odysseus, Erik the viking and Born to fly. We first have to make a reading notes slide that we have to do before, during and after we read the book. There are task for us to do as we read, but I have not finished the book yet.
Defensive tech
L.I to build a fort to defend from others.
On Tuesday we had a special guest which was Mr Ching or Isaac. He came and talked to us about war technology. Now we had talked about different types of war tech and they are: Dumb bomb, warheads, dynamite, C4's and mortars. Now Dumb bombs are bombs that when they are shot of dropped then that's where its going to go.
Warheads are missiles that can be controlled which is also called a smart bomb or a guided missile. Dynamite and C4's are things that you want to use to blow up small things like houses bridges. Mortars are the same as dumb bombs. At the end we got to do a challenge that Mr Ching (the guest) wanted us to do, and that was to build a fort to protect a helicopter from a shock wave.

Michael Mulipola is a Samoan comic book artist, pro wrestler and a semi pro Tekken gamer. Micheal Mulipola was inspired to be a comic book maker from school journals because of the great drawing in the journals. This guy has great drawing and has won two different belts in wrestling and they are for: tag team with King Haku and heavy weight but lost because of how light he was.

Keyboarding
For daily 6 we have to do 6 task they are: Basic facts, keyboarding, pixel art, hand writing, basic fact plus and minus and SSR selfie. The one that i am doing is keyboarding. This is a very good way to learn how to write properly. This is also a good way to use all of your fingers to type.
Swimming
In swimming two groups were made into one group because so that we can make a big whirl pool. First when we safely entered the pool the two groups that got together formed two different lines that had one line next to the wall and the other on the opposite side of the person standing to the wall.
In this activity, one person had to swim to the other side with water been pushed against them, as shown on the photo. This was fun and teaches us how it really feels like. We also did: Walking through waves, swimming against current, Swimming with current and a Whirlpool.
Hand Cannons
LI: To adapt to existing technology
For Inquiry we had to look at technology that have use of gunpowder. We had learnt about hand cannons and how they were made. We all looked close into this weapon and found out of how it works. If you go to the last slide then you can see on the top right photo how the gunpowder and bullet get placed.

Emotive language
LI: to write informative but emotive paragraphs.
For writing we were learning about emotive language and what people use it for. When we look closer into this we got a task to do and solve it. We had to make boring sentences into interesting and emotional sentences. To make people be emotional and get the attention you will need to grab words that make people scared or happy. We learnt all of this by getting ideas from examples from the teacher.
Kiwi Can
In kiwi can we were talking about the topic and theme which is resilience and the other one I have forgot. The energizer that we played was add on which is the photo with the pupils standing up. For the lesson between the energizer and activity we talked about to calm down and relax when you get angry of doing something again. So when we were talking the kiwi can leader ask us what do we do when we are angry. So like what do we do to relax, as in drink cold water, lie down and etc. Then we got into our activity which was to control our anger by making a tower out of cards and the kiwi can leader said to don't get frustrated when doing this because this can help us control our anger.

Analog - Digital time
L.I to convert between analogue and digital clocks.
For math we had to learn about analog time and digital time also to mention 24 hour time (is what the army use instead of analog time. We had little cloaks and the teacher picks a time and tells us like 4:30 then we had to show 4:30 on the cloak. We learnt this using the cloak. We had learnt what PM and AM stand for, they stand for Post Meridian and Ante Meridian.

Writing review
This week for writing we had to write a persuasive argument about phone banning in school. The persuasive text we were learning about was an exposition. First we read an article about France banning smartphones and tablets in schools. his was a fun chance.
Rugby day
On Wednesday we had rugby inter school. This was a fun chance to show and learn rugby moves and skills. We all got in to groups. There was the year 7/8 boys open team, year 7/8 girls, development group (where they learn how to play rugby,) and the group with all schools in one group. We all had rugby games. For the team that I was in we had three rugby games but we lose to all of them. We vs Pt England, St Pius and Sylvia park.
Stations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
L.I to use a formula to calculate the area of rectangles and squares
For math we had to learn about Perimeters and area. We all had to get into groups and do these math task to solve. They involved cutting, adding, multiplying, taping and comparing. There were five station that we all had to complete. The easiest task is the cutting tasks.

Castle
LI: To learn about technologies that overcome earthworks fortifications.
For inquiry we were learning about forts and this week we got to chose from a bow and arrow or a castle. My group chose a castle because it is interesting. We all got to play a a game which is Village defenders. n Friday we have to make a presentation which is the slide.
Swimming
For swimming this week we were learning different things, but the sad thing about this weeks swimming is that this was the last week of swimming. The moves we did were: floating on back, with no noodle, kicking on back, feet first sculling with noodle, diving to ring, seated dive practice and any swimming move.We all had fun during swimming because we all got to sit down swimming. We all got to do the moves that we wanted is did the floating on back sculling.
